Our emerging GlycoConjugation technology is a broader application of the approach used for GlycoPEGylation. GlycoConjugation can be used to improve antibodies and glycoproteins by attaching new bioactive or functional compounds. Tissue or target specificity of antibodies and other glycoproteins may be used for site-directed delivery of glycoconjugated therapeutic agents such as cytotoxins or radionuclides. Transit of drugs across the blood-brain barrier may be possible through GlycoConjugation, for example, with transferrin.
